The SmallHD 503 UltraBright is a 5 inch 1920×1080 on-camera field monitor with a very high brightness of around 2200 nits, designed for outdoor and bright-set use. It features dual 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs/outputs with cross-conversion, and supports HDR preview, 10-bit processing and 3D LUT import.
The housing is a milled aluminium unibody with optically bonded Gorilla Glass to reduce reflections and improve durability on set. Weight is approximately 430 g (15 oz), making it compact and rig-friendly.
With its high brightness, compact size and full set of monitoring tools (waveform, vectorscope, false color, peaking), the 503 UltraBright is ideal for camera ops on gimbals, handheld rigs and outdoor documentary shoots where screen readability in daylight is critical.
