Atlas 1.6x LF Extender or Atlas 1.4x LF Expander available for extended coverage and increased focal range.

The Atlas Orion anamorphic lenses are built around a bold and expressive anamorphic look. Designed for modern productions but inspired by classic optics, they create a distinctive image with strong character and presence. Available for rent in Berlin at RGB Rental.

The image carries a softer contrast with natural skin tones and a slightly textured rendering. Highlights roll off gently, while the lenses maintain enough sharpness to hold detail without becoming overly clinical.

As anamorphic lenses, they introduce pronounced horizontal flares and oval bokeh, giving the image a strong cinematic identity. Compared to more controlled anamorphic sets, the Atlas lenses lean more towards character, with flares that can become more visible and expressive depending on the light.

They react actively to light. Backlight introduces flare and contrast shifts that can be used deliberately to shape the image. This makes them particularly interesting for stylized setups and scenes where atmosphere plays a central role.

The lenses are designed to be accessible and practical, offering a consistent look across the set with manageable size and weight compared to larger anamorphic systems. This makes them suitable for handheld work and more flexible shooting environments.

Best used for narrative, music videos and projects where a strong anamorphic character is desired. Less suited for highly controlled or minimalistic looks.

The lenses can be paired with the Atlas 1.6x LF Extender or 1.4x LF Expander, allowing for extended coverage and increased focal length. This makes it possible to adapt the set for larger sensors or achieve a tighter field of view while maintaining the anamorphic character.
