Based on one of the most influential lenses in film history the Speed Panchro, Cooke SP3 is an exciting new fixed focal length series featuring a completely new design – both optical and mechanical – for full-frame mirrorless cameras, which will enable even more creatives to enhance their visual storytelling.
Despite the lightweight small size of the SP3 primes, they do have full frame coverage, robust housings with true internal focus, smooth mechanics, and properly gear focus and iris rings, ready to work with modern FIZ and follow focus systems.
They look like Cine-Modded primes in size and weight, but they are better in almost every way. They are sharp in the center with a nice texture in there bokeh which gives them a nice touch of a vintage character and the classic „Cooke Look“. The falloff is smooth and a nice softness on the corners which we know from the Speed Pancros.
They are a great option for small lightweight B-cam set ups, documentary work, drones, gimbals and much more.
