Introducing IRONGLAS MK2, a revolutionary leap forward in lens design! The MKII rehousing also brings forth the legendary Helios 44 lens, renowned for its affordability and distinct character. Loved for its swirly bokeh and low contrast, the Helios 44 is a favorite for portrait photography. Its unique qualities, such as a lack of sharpness that hides skin imperfections and an unusual swirl effect in out-of-focus areas, add an extra accent to subjects, setting it apart from modern sharp lenses.

With this MK2 rehousing by IRONGLAS mechanics have been completely reimagined to deliver unparalleled performance, precision, and reliability. Every aspect of there MKI body and mechanics has been overhauled to provide users with the ultimate shooting experience.

The redesigned lenses feature universal gear positions across the set, making swapping between lenses seamless. Our innovative PL/EF mount system is now easily shimmable, with more mount options on the horizon. Plus, enhancements like T-stop markings, Reverse Direction Focus Scale, and a 15-aperture blade iris are integrated into the new design.

Blockbuster films like Dune 2 have already utilized the vintage charm and unmatched quality of these lenses to stunning effect.
