HR stands for High Resolution and is the 3rd edition of the classic 10:1 zoom lens 25–250mm T3.9 Type 10 which was the Hollywood standard throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s.
It has been released im 1991 and is an enhanced version of the Angénieux 25–250 HP T3.7 zoom. The enhancements primarily focused on reducing the T number of the aperture, creating a sturdier housing, and refining the mechanics of the zoom system.
The updated lens is now referred to as the Angénieux Optimo Style 25–250mm T3.5 zoom which we also offer.
