HR stands for High Resolution and is the 3rd edition of the classic 10:1 zoom lens 25-250mm T3.9 Type 10 which was the Hollywood standard throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s.
It has been released im 1991 and is an enhanced version of the Angénieux 25-250 HP T3.7 zoom. The enhancements primarily focused on reducing the T number of the aperture, creating a sturdier housing, and refining the mechanics of the zoom system.
The updated lens is now referred to as the Angénieux Optimo Style 25-250mm T3.5 zoom which we also offer.
