These Lomo Standard Speed spherical primes are the ultimate in vintage look. These lenses are not regular photo lenses but come from the Cinema Line of Lomo. Our set is a high-quality rehouse from GL Optik. In addition to the usual standards, GL has managed to make the lenses in the rehouse very small and light.
The abbreviation OKS is often misspelled as OKC because the “C” is a Cyrillic “S”. OKS stands for “Оптико-Кино-Система / Optical-Cinema-System”. They are Saint Petersburg’s approximation of Cooke Panchros, these Lomos have classic, simple, optical designs that were produced during the Cold War throughout the 1980’s. Limited lens coatings produce colorful flares with intricate details and renders the fine sharpness with a gentle look that removes that clinical, digital edge.
The bokeh is pleasing and has an “old world” appearance. If you are in search of a new retro look, Lomo´s will take you there like no other lens.
If you want to mix a wide angle lens with this set check out our prototype the Lomo OKS (9,5mm, 14mm, 18mm) or take a look at our Ironglass rehoused Lomo photo lenses. If they are all too spherical for you, take a look at our Lomo Square Front anamorphics.
