The Bavarian company IB/E Optics was already involved in the development of the ARRI DNA Primes for the Alexa 65 before the release of the Raptor series. In addition to developing adapter solutions, they are heavily involved in manufacturing optical elements for the automotive and medical technology industries.
The Raptor Macros offer true 1:1 magnification, a consistent T-stop of T 2.9, and sturdy professional cine mechanics that are built to last. With a 320° focus rotation, these lenses allow for precise focus pulls. Each lens in this series provides full frame coverage (24×36) with an image circle of 53mm, which is more than sufficient for full-frame sensors, including the Red 8K Weapon’s sensor. The 9-blade iris creates a beautiful bokeh effect. Additionally, all lenses in this series have the same length and front diameter of 95mm, making them easily compatible with accessories.
