The Cooke Anamorphic/i FF lenses are built around a classic cinematic look, combining the well known Cooke rendering with the spatial characteristics of anamorphic optics. Available for rent in Berlin at RGB Rental. The image carries a warm, organic quality with soft contrast and natural skin tones. Highlights roll off gently, and the lenses maintain a balanced rendering that feels controlled without becoming too clean or clinical.

As anamorphic lenses, they introduce a wider field of view with characteristic horizontal flares and oval bokeh. The compression and depth feel more pronounced, giving the image a strong cinematic presence without overwhelming the scene. Compared to more aggressive anamorphic designs, the Cooke Anamorphics feel more refined and restrained. Flares are present but controlled, and the overall image remains stable across different lighting situations.

The lenses react predictably to light and maintain consistency across the set, making them reliable for narrative and commercial productions where a cohesive visual language is important. They are best suited for projects that aim for a classic cinematic look with subtle anamorphic characteristics, rather than extreme distortion or heavy stylization.
