The Canon FD lenses are loved by many cinematographers, especially in Full Frame cinematography. The 24mm f1.4, 55mm f1.2, and 85mm f1.2 aspherical lenses are the siblings of the legendary K35s. They are known for there Soft and pleasing look especially in skin tones.
At our TLS rehoused set the original 8-blade irises is replaced with a new 16-blade irises. Your bokeh will stay circular when stopped down, they also make the set more consistent from lens to lens.
Canon introduced their FD system in 1971 with the famous Canon “AE-1” SLR camera. For 21 years Canon produced 134 different FD lenses it was a success Story. Since many different versions of the same focal length were built, it is very difficult to put together a set that fits together.
In assembling this set, only the best optics were selected to produce the most beautiful look, but also to be consistent as a set and with the robust and precise rehousing of TLS allows the success story to continue.
You can mix the Canon FD’s well with our Canon K35 Zoom, the Voigtläner Zoomar, or the Canon Dream lens.
