The Cooke 15–40mm T2.0 CXX is a compact cinema zoom that combines the signature Cooke Look with the flexibility of a lightweight zoom. The “CXX” in its name refers to the Roman numeral 120, marking the lens’ release in celebration of Cooke Optics’ 120th anniversary.
Covering the Super 35 format with a constant T2.0 aperture across the entire zoom range, the CXX delivers warm skin tones, gentle contrast and smooth highlight roll-off — a perfect match to Cooke S4/i, miniS4/i, S7/i and Panchro/i primes.
The lens is parfocal, maintains focus while zooming, and shows minimal breathing or distortion. Its compact size makes it ideal for handheld, Steadicam, gimbal or documentary-style work. With /i Technology, it also transmits real-time lens metadata such as iris, focus and zoom position to the camera.
