The DJI Master Wheels are a professional wheel controller system designed for precise remote camera movement on feature films, commercials, TV productions and high end studio shoots. Available for rental in Berlin, they offer highly accurate control over pan, tilt and roll for Ronin based and compatible gimbal setups, making them a strong choice for productions that need smooth and repeatable remote head operation.
Using ultra high resolution optical encoders, the DJI Master Wheels translate even subtle operator input into precise gimbal movement. The stainless steel wheels are designed for accurate tactile control, while precision CNC machined components and adjustable damping, smoothness and speed settings allow the system to be tailored to different shooting styles and production needs. The system supports dual frequency 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz wireless transmission with a maximum operating range of up to 3 km, as well as wired control with latency as low as 10 milliseconds. DJI also states that the three wheel control modules can be detached and mounted separately when a more flexible setup is needed, for example inside vehicles or space restricted builds.
With the included receiver, the Master Wheels are compatible with Ronin 2 and Ronin RS2 or RS4, and can also control third party gimbals via S BUS. Battery runtime is rated at up to 18 hours, with a charging time of around 1.5 hours.
