SONY FX5

The Sony FX5 brings high-end Cinema Line features into a remarkably compact and lightweight camera body. Built around a newly developed 5K full-frame stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, it delivers more than 15 stops of latitude while combining fast sensor readout with excellent low-light performance.

One of the FX5’s standout features is internal 16-bit X-OCN recording, bringing Sony’s professional RAW workflow to a much smaller camera platform without the need for an external recorder. Full-frame 3:2 Open Gate recording provides additional flexibility for reframing, vertical deliverables and anamorphic workflows, while dedicated Super 35 scan modes make the FX5 equally versatile with S35 cinema lenses.

With 5K recording up to 60 fps, 4K up to 120 fps, three Base ISO settings, in-body image stabilization and Sony’s AI-assisted autofocus and subject tracking, the FX5 is particularly well suited to documentary, handheld, gimbal and compact narrative setups.
